Castiel has been working on finding other angels on earth and doing so has involved keeping an ear to the ground for anything strange. He'd noticed signs, but it had been another angel that had finally brought it to his attention that Abaddon was harvesting souls like this.

Mission aside, this isn't right and he knows that. It has to be stopped.

It's taken him a few weeks to find the place where they're taking the souls. He might have been faster if he wasn't relying on a car to get around, but he can't help that now.

He's sitting in his car now in a motel parking lot about ten minutes out from the warehouse where the souls are being housed. It's not as if he sleeps, but it seems like a logical place to rest out of the way and undisturbed while he figures out a course of action.

This may require reinforcements.

With his new clothes, Castiel makes his way to the bunker. It takes a few days and a lot of hitchhiking. He learns that some people are kind and other want payment that he's not always willing to deliver. Those people leave him back on the side of the road, but that's okay, because he scrapes together enough food and walks enough that he finally gets there.

The Impala is already parked outside and relief washes over him. He's almost home.

He goes for the door, but it's locked, so he knocks, surprised at being denied immediate access to Dean.
